Hook up amp and subs in car
Awwww BMI I love it, I just came by to have a look see and found your photos and instructions incredibly clear.
The kits tell you how many watts they can handle. Strip the insulation off of the wire at the end where the battery is. This is the amplifier charging the huge capacitors contained inside.
These suspension components usually bolt directly to the frame, making them an ideal grounding point. Makes it really easy to understand the basic concept. After installing my amp and subwoofer into my jeep wrangler, my rear speakers on the hook up amp and subs in car bar are no longer working.
Answer this question Flag as This can be any device that only works when the ignition is turned on a good example would be the windshield wipers. Thank you for the comment.
Introduction: Installing Subwoofers in a Car
If you're new to the impedance calculations, many amplifiers will have specific wiring diagrams in their manuals to assist. I have this subwoofer see picture which I don't know how to connect it. The most cost effective first step is to buy an amplifier wiring kit off of an internet auction site, etc.
Run the 12v power wire usually the longest wire in the kit, mostly red, typically ranges from 8 gauge to 0 gauge from the battery through the firewall and then to the amp.
There are other ways on doing this but from what I read from your posting, this would be the cheaper way on doing it. Once it's secure, cut a length of the power wire to reach the fuse, and connect it to one side of the fuse holder.
I am inpatient and plowed on, but i am glad i did because i now have two amazingly bassey subs in the rear of my Plymouth Voyager i just popped open the side panels and spliced into the two rear speakers yes I'm quite aware that i probably did it wrong. There are many different types of enclosures sealed, vented, bandpass, infinite baffle, etc. Use Speaker Wire to connect sub-woofers to amplifier.

A speaker or amp can only be run on the peak power for about a minute before it goes bad or overheats. Rms stands for square root of the average of square.
Step 1: Parts
Make sure you buy a subwoofer box that has a hole the same size as your speaker. Your amp will always be on when your car is on, but it shouldn't make noise, so its OK. There may be 2 channels.
